HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR ROLE
A Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients per physician order utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques. The Speech-Language Pathologist communicates with families, physicians and other health team members regarding residents, maintains timely documentation, and maintains current clinical knowledge through continuing education.

JOB DETAILS
Location: Roseau will be the primary location, but there will be travel to our Greenbush and Warroad locations

Pay: $35.66 - $53.48
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE
- Evaluates patients of all ages and determines each patient’s need for skilled therapy based on objective and documented criteria.
- Conducts evaluations and develops treatment plans according to standardized and/or recommended techniques and procedures.
- Follows treatment plans in an objective, measurable, and documented approach maintaining timely and accurate records according to policies, procedures and regulations.
- Documents plan of care on evaluation, diet texture recommendations, and precautions when appropriate.
- Documents orders and provides clarification orders when appropriate.
- Maintains active and supportive communications with the patient, significant others, physicians and other team members concerning progress, problems, home programs, follow-up, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
- Maintains a positive rapport with all staff at all times through professional appearance and actions.
- Communicates pertinent information on a timely basis to supervisor and seeks guidance necessary for performance of duties. Responds appropriately to clinical supervision as indicated.
- Maintains knowledge of current educational and clinical guidelines, trends, and procedures.
- Coordinates and communicates care and discharge plans with appropriate medical staff including but not limited to Physicians, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Dieticians.
YOU’RE AN EXCELLENT FIT, IF YOU HAVE
- MA or MS degree in Communicative Disorder/Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (C.C.C)
- BLS Certification
- Excellent communication & listening skills
- Good critical thinking skills
- Good detail orientation skills
