Overview
As the Hospice Clinical Compliance and Team Director, you’ll lead clinical compliance, quality, and team operations across hospice services. You’ll turn healthcare regulations and clinical standards into clear processes that support safe, consistent care for patients and families. Your impact: By strengthening compliance and quality practices, you help care teams deliver reliable services while supporting patients and families through hospice care.
Responsibilities
- Lead compliance management and team leadership, including oversight of clinical policies, documentation, and regulatory readiness.
- Monitor Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, Medicare rules, HIPAA, FDA regulations, medical law, and applicable health regulation policy.
- Guide quality assurance and quality improvement activities; assess risks, identify process gaps, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Review electronic medical and health records (EMR/EHR), coding, and clinical data for accuracy, including ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding, and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding.
- Manage healthcare projects and process improvements; use data analysis and Microsoft Office to track findings and communicate recommendations.
Requirements
- Experience in healthcare compliance, quality assurance, or quality improvement; project management experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS regulatory compliance, managed care, accreditation standards, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) requirements.
- Familiarity with electronic health records management, medical terminology, and risk management.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills; ability to interpret regulations and apply them to clinical workflows.
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
