Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain sourcing initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across multiple categories, ensuring optimal vendor relationships, cost efficiencies, and compliance with procurement regulations. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, support manufacturing and logistics operations, and contribute to the organization’s overall strategic objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence key supply chain decisions and foster innovative sourcing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple spend categories including IT, Retail, Food & Beverage, Healthcare, Corporate Services, and Interiors.
- Analyze procurement and supply chain data to identify cost savings, improve operational performance, and develop strategic recommendations.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize spend, reduce risk, and improve supplier performance.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve procurement processes, drive operational efficiencies, and support organizational goals.
- Lead complex contract negotiations and administer high-value supplier agreements while ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through strategic sourcing, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, risk management, and project teams to support business objectives and sourcing initiatives.
- Review and provide guidance on RFPs, Statements of Work (SOWs), supplier contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Monitor procurement performance metrics, supplier KPIs, contract compliance, service levels, and vendor performance.
- Develop category strategies and leverage enterprise-wide purchasing opportunities to maximize value and total cost of ownership.
- Lead cross-functional teams focused on procurement optimization, supply chain improvements, and process reengineering.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Manage, coach, mentor, and develop sourcing professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Prepare executive reporting, budget recommendations, and strategic sourcing updates for leadership.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, operational efficiency, and procurement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable procurement policies, regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management initiatives.
- Strong background negotiating complex supplier agreements and managing high-value contracts.
- Experience developing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
- Ability to analyze spend data, supplier performance, and market trends to make strategic business decisions.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with executives, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience within Retail, Food & Beverage, Healthcare, Hospitality, Government, or other complex multi-site organizations is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
