POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Strategy & Operations Manager will lead market research and strategic marketing initiatives to identify business opportunities, evaluate market conditions, and drive product and service profitability. This individual will analyze market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and develop effective marketing, pricing, and distribution strategies. The role will also provide leadership and direction to a team of analysts while collaborating with internal business groups, advertising teams, vendors, distributors, and legal partners to support overall business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise business groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
- Develop pricing strategies that balance business objectives with customer satisfaction.
- Lead the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales personnel while overseeing daily activities.
- Evaluate financial aspects of product development, including budgets, expenditures, research and development investments, ROI, and profitability projections.
- Formulate and coordinate marketing strategies and initiatives to promote products and services.
- Identify and evaluate marketing strategies based on business objectives, market characteristics, and cost factors.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors and develop effective product distribution networks.
- Utilize sales forecasting and strategic planning to drive sales, profitability, and business growth.
- Analyze market developments, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with legal teams to resolve issues involving copyright infringement, royalty sharing, and external partnerships.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of related marketing experience.
- Experience leading and managing a team of analysts.
- Expert knowledge of marketing principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
- Proven ability to develop and implement marketing and pricing strategies.
- Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, sales forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Experience evaluating budgets, expenditures, ROI, and profitability projections.
- Experience negotiating vendor and distributor contracts.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and oversee multiple priorities.
- Strong knowledge of media production, communications, and dissemination techniques.
