Strategy Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy professional in Wisconsin?
Most strategy roles in Wisconsin require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, and many senior positions prefer an MBA. Wisconsin does not issue a state license for corporate strategy work, so hiring is driven by education and experience. The University of Wisconsin-Madison and Marquette University are recognized feeder schools for strategy roles at major Wisconsin employers. Building experience in consulting, finance, or operations analysis is the most direct path into dedicated strategy functions.
Which companies hire strategys in Wisconsin?
Companies currently hiring strategys in Wisconsin include CVS Health, Faith Technologies Incorporated, and Kohler, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Wisconsin's mix of insurance headquarters, healthcare systems, and large retail corporations means strategy openings appear across diverse industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most strategy jobs?
Madison, Milwaukee, and Wisconsin have the most strategy openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee leads because it is home to major corporate headquarters in insurance, financial services, and retail, while Madison's concentration of healthcare technology firms like Epic Systems and state government institutions drives consistent demand, and Green Bay's manufacturing and healthcare base supports additional openings.
Are there remote strategy jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than most fields, since strategy work is primarily analytical and communication-driven rather than hands-on. About 82% of strategy openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the role. Long-range planning, market analysis, and financial modeling work are the functions most commonly performed fully remote, while roles involving frequent executive stakeholder engagement tend to require at least a hybrid schedule.
How can I get hired as a strategy professional in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a rotational business analyst or associate program at a large Wisconsin employer. Northwestern Mutual, Epic Systems, and Advocate Aurora Health run structured early-career programs that rotate participants through strategy, finance, and operations before placing them in a dedicated strategy function. Lateral moves from roles in financial analysis, project management, or market research are also common entry points. A strong analytical portfolio or an MBA from the University of Wisconsin system gives candidates a clear edge in a competitive applicant pool.
Where can I find and apply to strategy jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to strategy jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current Wisconsin openings across industries and seniority levels. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit.
