Project Estimator
We are looking to add an Estimator to our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in structural steel and/or estimating for construction or industrial projects. This candidate must be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with an outstanding benefits package.
Responsibilities:
· Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates
· Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
· Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and quotes
· Ensure timely completion of estimates
· Understand scope of work to bid and contractual requirements
· Manage bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors
· Prepare cost analysis
· Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· 0-2 years' experience in structural/miscellaneous steel or construction estimating
· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Applied Science, Civil Engineering or related field
· Able to read and understand construction documents and engineering information and develop cost estimates
· Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
· Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Bluebeam
· Proficient in estimating systems (Tekla PowerFab), software, and methodology
· Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
· Impeccable problem-solving skill
