Supply Chain Associate Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a supply chain associate in Vermont?
Supply chain associates in Vermont do not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or logistics. Vermont employers in manufacturing and food production often favor candidates with hands-on inventory or purchasing experience alongside that degree. Earning an APICS certification such as the CPIM strengthens your candidacy significantly and can substitute for some years of experience when entering the field.
Which companies hire supply chain associates in Vermont?
Vermont supply chain associate roles are posted by Hazelett Corporation, Aon, and Ryder System and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's manufacturing and healthcare sectors drive consistent demand, with anchor employers in the Champlain Valley and Northeast Kingdom regions posting regularly throughout the year.
Which Vermont cities have the most supply chain associate jobs?
Colchester, Richmond, and Shelburne have the most supply chain associate openings in Vermont. Burlington leads because of its concentration of manufacturing firms, healthcare systems, and distribution operations along the Lake Champlain corridor, while smaller cities like St. Albans and Barre benefit from food processing plants and industrial employers that maintain active procurement and logistics teams year-round.
Are there remote supply chain associate jobs in Vermont?
Yes, but they're uncommon, since supply chain associate work typically involves hands-on inventory oversight, warehouse coordination, and in-person vendor management. About 0% of supply chain associate openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how operationally grounded the role tends to be. The portions most likely to allow remote work are purchasing analysis, supplier communication, and demand forecasting tasks.
How can I get hired as a supply chain associate in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an operations coordinator or inventory clerk role at a Vermont manufacturer or distributor, where you build hands-on purchasing and logistics experience before stepping into a supply chain associate title. Large Vermont employers such as GlobalFoundries and University of Vermont Medical Center regularly hire operations and materials assistants as stepping stones. Completing an APICS fundamentals course or a community college certificate in logistics gives candidates a concrete credential that offsets limited experience on an application.
Where can I find and apply to supply chain associate jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to supply chain associate jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings from employers across manufacturing, healthcare, and distribution. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
