Office Operations Manager Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a office operations manager in Vermont?
The most common path is a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field combined with progressive administrative or operations experience. Vermont has no state-issued license specific to this role, so employers focus on demonstrated competency. Many candidates move up from executive assistant, office coordinator, or operations analyst roles within Vermont organizations such as healthcare networks, insurance firms, or state agencies. Earning a Certified Manager credential from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers can strengthen your application considerably.
Which companies hire office operations managers in Vermont?
Employers hiring office operations managers in Vermont right now include Northeast Shared Services, Beta Technologies, and KENT, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's healthcare, higher education, and financial services sectors consistently generate the steadiest volume of openings for this role throughout the year.
Which Vermont cities have the most office operations manager jobs?
Burlington, Rutland, and Barre have the most office operations manager openings in Vermont. Burlington drives the largest share thanks to UVM Medical Center, National Life Group, and a growing professional services sector, while Montpelier's concentration of state government agencies and Rutland's regional healthcare and manufacturing employers keep those markets consistently active.
Are there remote office operations manager jobs in Vermont?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since the role typically involves on-site staff oversight and facilities coordination. About 9% of office operations manager openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which is meaningful but not the majority. Functions most likely to stay remote or hybrid include policy development, vendor contract management, and administrative process improvement projects.
How can I get hired as a office operations manager in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an office coordinator or administrative supervisor role at a large Vermont employer such as UVM Health Network, Global Foundries, or a Vermont state agency, then building toward a manager title internally. Vermont's community colleges, including Community College of Vermont, offer business and management certificates that signal readiness to hiring teams. Lateral moves from project coordinator, HR assistant, or facilities coordinator positions are well-recognized pathways, and demonstrating process improvement outcomes in any of those roles accelerates the transition.
Where can I find and apply to office operations manager jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to office operations manager jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings updated regularly. Search for roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that match. No profile creation is required to see openings and submit your application.
