The Opportunity
As a Project Supply Chain Manager, you will manage procurement and supply chain activities across project execution, including supplier selection, contract and bid coordination, and delivery tracking. You will play a key role in engaging HVDC stakeholders throughout tendering and project execution. You will be the Supply Chain Manager lead in the HVDC project work. You will align sourcing approaches with project requirements, support budget and timeline adherence, and coordinate with engineering, project management, and suppliers to ensure clear technical and commercial requirements are communicated. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, managing supply risks, and supporting issue resolution to maintain project continuity. By coordinating procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and services, and maintaining accurate supply chain data, you contribute to the execution of energy infrastructure projects and support consistent performance across power grid operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Define supplier selection and sourcing approach aligned with project tender strategy.
- Track supply chain scope to support project timelines and delivery quality.
- Monitor procurement activities to maintain alignment with project budget.
- Identify supply risks and support mitigation actions during project execution.
- Align procurement timelines and track supplier deliverables across project milestones.
- Ensure offer and order handling processes are followed across stakeholders.
- Coordinate flow-down of commercial and technical requirements to suppliers.
- Monitor supplier documentation, performance, and issue resolution to support project execution.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Project Management experience
- Experience coordinating procurement, contracts, and supply chain activities within projects
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively address business demands in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects
- Ability to prioritize and allocate resources to align with department and company goals
- Proven track record to deliver results and achieve goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, French fluency preferred
- PMP or CPSM Certification
