Compensation: Based on experience
About Us:
Reale Construction Rx Inc. is a residential and light commercial construction company based in Poughkeepsie, NY. We are rebuilding and improving the digital infrastructure of our company using better file organization, automation, AI tools, website integrations, construction management software, and internal workflow systems.
We are looking for someone who understands technology, automation, AI, APIs, and business systems. This is not a basic computer repair or help desk position. We need someone who can help us connect the tools we use every day and build a cleaner operating system for the company.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an AI Systems Integration & Automation Specialist to help organize, connect, and improve our company’s internal technology systems.
The main goal is to help connect our Google Workspace, Google Drive, Wix website, JobTread construction management software, Gmail, client intake process, estimating/proposal workflow, document storage, and custom AI/GPT tools into a more organized and efficient company system.
This position may be a good fit for a technically skilled student, recent graduate, freelancer, automation specialist, junior developer, or experienced consultant who enjoys solving real business problems with technology.
Responsibilities:
- Review our current digital workflow and help identify better systems
- Help reorganize Google Drive / Google Workspace for company operations
- Create or improve file structures, permissions, folder systems, naming rules, templates, and shared drives
- Help connect Wix website forms to company workflows
- Assist with JobTread setup, workflow improvements, and possible integrations
- Build or assist with automations between Wix, Google Drive, Gmail, JobTread, and other tools
- Research and help implement API connections, webhooks, Zapier, Make, n8n, Google Apps Script, or similar automation tools
- Help create custom GPT / AI assistant workflows for estimating, proposal writing, client intake, admin support, and internal company systems
- Help document the system so the company can use and maintain it long-term
- Create simple SOPs and instructions for internal use
- Work directly with the business owner to understand current problems and build practical solutions
Desired Skills:
- Experience or strong interest in AI tools, ChatGPT, custom GPTs, or OpenAI workflows
- Google Drive / Google Workspace organization
- Wix or Wix Velo experience
- API integrations, webhooks, or automation tools
- Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar platforms
- Google Apps Script or basic scripting experience
- Basic web development knowledge
- Strong organization and documentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple language
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Interest in business operations, workflow design, and small business systems
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with JobTread or other construction management software
- Experience with CRM, project management, or client intake systems
- Experience building internal tools, dashboards, databases, or automations
- Experience working with small businesses, contractors, home service companies, or construction companies
- Experience with document automation, proposal systems, or file management systems
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable learning new platforms. You do not need to know every tool already, but you should be comfortable researching, testing, building, documenting, and improving systems.
We are looking for someone who can think through the whole workflow, not just complete isolated tech tasks. The right person will help us build a cleaner system for leads, estimates, proposals, files, job information, client communication, and AI-assisted office workflows.
Project Goals:
- Organize company Google Drive and file storage
- Improve lead intake and client information flow
- Connect Wix website forms to internal systems
- Improve JobTread usage and integrations
- Build useful automations for office and project workflows
- Create AI/GPT tools for estimating, proposals, intake, and admin support
- Reduce duplicated office work
- Improve file organization, documentation, and team processes
- Build a system the company can maintain long-term
Schedule:
Flexible schedule. Part-time, contract, internship, or project-based arrangement may be considered.
Some work can be performed remotely, but preference is given to candidates near Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, or the Hudson Valley who are available to meet in person when needed.
Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with proven experience in API integrations, Wix Velo, Google Apps Script, Zapier, Make, n8n, OpenAI tools, JobTread, or business automation systems.
How to Apply:
Please submit a short message explaining your experience or interest in AI, automation, APIs, Google Workspace, Wix, JobTread, business systems, or workflow design.
Please include any relevant projects, coursework, websites, automations, GitHub links, portfolios, examples, or systems you have helped build.
Important Note:
This is not a basic IT repair position. We are looking for someone who can help design, organize, and build better company systems using automation, AI, APIs, and practical business technology.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dutchess County, NY

Systems Integration Engineer Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a systems integration engineer in New York?
Most systems integration engineer roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline. New York does not mandate a state-issued license specific to this role, but candidates pursuing defense or government work should plan for federal security clearance eligibility. Professional credentials such as INCOSE's Certified Systems Engineering Professional designation strengthen applications at major New York defense and technology employers.
Which companies hire systems integration engineers in New York?
Companies currently hiring systems integration engineers in New York include Lockheed Martin, Saab, and Plug Power, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's concentration of defense contractors on Long Island and major financial technology firms in New York City makes it one of the more active states for this role.
Which New York cities have the most systems integration engineer jobs?
Liverpool, Albany, and Dutchess County account for the greatest concentration of systems integration engineer openings in New York. New York City leads because of its density of financial technology companies and enterprise IT operations, while Long Island's defense corridor around Bethpage and Hauppauge drives demand from large defense prime contractors, and Albany's state government and research institutions support a steady public-sector hiring base.
Are there remote systems integration engineer jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely software-focused disciplines, since systems integration work often requires hands-on hardware access, lab environments, or secure facilities. About 25% of systems integration engineer openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those opportunities tend to cluster in the requirements analysis, documentation, and enterprise software integration phases of a project rather than physical testing and installation.
How can I get hired as a systems integration engineer in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a junior or associate systems engineer role at one of New York's large defense prime contractors or enterprise technology firms, many of which run formal new-graduate rotational programs. Northrop Grumman and L3Harris, both active on Long Island, recruit directly from engineering programs at institutions such as Stony Brook University and RPI. Gaining an internship or co-op in systems verification and test, then pursuing the INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional credential, gives candidates a concrete edge over the competition.
Where can I find and apply to systems integration engineer jobs in New York?
