Talent Acquisition Intern Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent acquisition intern in Oregon?
Most talent acquisition intern roles in Oregon require active enrollment in a degree program in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field. Oregon does not issue a state license for talent acquisition work, so employers focus on coursework, internship experience, and familiarity with recruiting tools. Completing an HR certificate through an Oregon community college or university, such as Portland State or the University of Oregon, strengthens your application considerably.
Which companies hire talent acquisition interns in Oregon?
Oregon talent acquisition intern roles are posted by Hylan, ACCESS, and Timberlab and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Oregon's mix of global tech firms, major healthcare systems, and large retail headquarters means internship openings appear across a wide range of industries and company sizes.
Which Oregon cities have the most talent acquisition intern jobs?
Salem, Portland, and Hillsboro account for the largest share of talent acquisition intern openings in Oregon. Portland drives the majority of postings as the state's primary corporate hub, home to headquarters and regional offices across technology, healthcare, and consumer goods, while Beaverton and Eugene contribute openings tied to major anchors like Intel and the University of Oregon.
Are there remote talent acquisition intern jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than many entry-level roles, since much of talent acquisition work involves digital sourcing, video interviews, and ATS management that translates well to remote settings. About 33% of talent acquisition intern openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how recruiter work has shifted since the pandemic. Sourcing, scheduling, and employer branding tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a talent acquisition intern in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured summer internship programs at Oregon's large employers, where hiring managers expect candidates with limited professional experience. Nike, Intel, and Providence Health all run formal intern cohorts that include talent and HR tracks open to students early in their programs. Volunteering with university career centers, joining SHRM student chapters at Portland State or Oregon State, and building a portfolio of mock sourcing projects can distinguish a candidate who has no formal recruiting experience.
Where can I find and apply to talent acquisition intern jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to talent acquisition intern jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings across industries and company sizes. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and goals, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
