We are looking for a Fertilization Technician to join our team.
This is a year-round position focused on maintaining the health and appearance of lawns at commercial and residential properties throughout our service area. The position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants to develop their knowledge of turf, fertilizer, weed control, insects, and plant health.
Previous lawn care or fertilizer experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
What you'll be doing
- Apply granular fertilizer and turf products according to our lawn-care program
- Apply herbicides
- Inspect lawns for weeds, insects, disease, drought stress, irrigation issues, and other turf problems
- Learn to identify common turf weeds, insects, and diseases
- Operate a ride-on spreader/sprayer
- Use backpack sprayers, walk-behind spreaders, and other lawn-care equipment
- Properly mix, load, and apply products according to label directions
- Maintain accurate records of fertilizer, pesticide applications, materials, and work performed
- Communicate professionally with clients and other members of our team when needed
- Clean and maintain equipment and keep the work vehicle and equipment organized
- Work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety

Pesticide License
A Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator's License is preferred, but not required to start.
We are willing to train the right candidate and provide support while working toward the appropriate Massachusetts pesticide licensing requirements.
