Pay Range: $55.16 - $80.05 per hour

SUMMARY
This position initiates, plans, executes, and finalizes the technology component implementations for all assigned projects within established budget/schedule. Utilizing standard Rush methodologies, the Project Manager manages the efforts of all team members (organizational resources and engaged third party vendors/consultants) to deliver technology components according to project scope and goals. The appropriate application and/or rigor of methodology processes and deliverables utilized is based upon the scope and complexity of technologies as identified during project initiation/discovery. The Project Manager also oversees relevant quality control and report progress throughout the project lifecycle. In most situations, assigned technology implementations will be components associated with organizational Planning, Design and Construction programs/projects. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in project management, health care or related field.
- Eight years of project management experience.
- Working knowledge of PMI, project management principles, methodology and tools (MS Project) and/or pursuing PMP certification.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe and project management software.
- General understanding of IT systems and IT processes.
- Thorough knowledge of formal project management methodologies.
- Ability to manage projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, problem solving, organizational and communication skills (verbal, written).
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specification.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with implementing associated hardware and building power, data and network requirements for healthcare applications and technologies.
- Experience with managing medical imaging projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawing sets and specifications.
- PMP certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and manages project development and progress from beginning to end, delivering projects on time, within budget, with expected results.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously, scope varies per organizational needs and include high profile and large-scale projects.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of technology and construction means and methods and must work well in a team environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Defines and documents the project scope deliverables (i.e. Device Telecom Requirements Spreadsheet, etc.) supporting business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders and ensure all deliverables adhere to quality standards.
- Drafts and submits technology budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes.
- Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Estimates and identifies the resources and cross disciplinary participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Negotiates with internal department managers and contractors for the acquisition of required personnel.
- Assists in planning and managing technology budget for project financial components.
- Performs detailed requirements gathering, develops scaled project plans and associated communications documents using standard tools.
- Manages all aspects of the standard technology implementation lifecycle including design, procurement, installation, build/configure, test, train, go-live, and close.
- Creates plans including a work breakdown schedule including activities/tasks, responsible parties, milestones, and schedule.
- Utilizes eBuilder tools to process contract requisitions and confirms invoice payments.
- Facilitates or participates in routine project team meetings to establish and continually manage project requirements and expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Responsible for managing documentation and resolution processes (project plan, issues, risk and decision logs (RAID), status reports, etc.) and effectively and accurately communicates relevant project information using standard tools and methodologies. Tracks and reports status against project plans to appropriate stakeholders and senior management based on agreed upon communication plans.
- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path. Identifies and resolves issues/conflicts and/or escalates where appropriate for resolution.
- Provides support to ensure PDC objectives and expectations are met by managing customer satisfaction.
- Inspects spaces and supports Construction Project Manager (CPM) in validating technology portions of the construction punch list and readiness for technology deployment.
- Assists in defining test scenarios. Documents, validates and executes test plans for devices; coordinates unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Executes project change control to keep the project within the approved scope, cost, and timeline and ensure all parties are aware of any changes and the potential impacts on schedule and budget.
- Conducts project postmortems and creates recommendations report to develop best practices and tools for project execution and management; formally closes the project and hands-off to the end users.
- Depending on workload, project types, and project timing, this position will at times individually manage and oversee all aspects of a portfolio of technology projects and at other times will manage a team of technology project managers managing individual projects.
- Contributes to TPM training.
- Other relevant duties as assigned. Extended hours and possible on-call duties. Potential travel to remote locations.
