Job Overview
As a Clinical Trainee MFT or LPCC Post Graduate, you’ll recieve supervision towards licensure and assistance building or transferring a caseload of clinetele for performing mental health counseling . Your job would be assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy sessions, and care coordination across appropriate settings, using evidence-based approaches and clear, compassionate communication. Your impact: Thoughtful planing for your licensure and building a caseload impacted by psychotherapy.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and/or couples and/or family counseling, psychotherapy, and child and family counseling under applicable supervision.
- Conduct intake, mental health assessments, and diagnostic evaluation; contribute to treatment plans and case management.
- Use appropriate approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavioral therapy.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, medical records, and EMR/EHR entries in line with HIPAA, clinical documentation standards, and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate-level completion in marriage and family therapy (MFT) or professional clinical counseling (LPCC), with eligibility for the applicable post-graduate trainee role and supervision.
- Knowledge of clinical counseling, behavioral health, patient assessment, medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and evidence-based practice.
- Relevant experience may include children, families, indiviudals, co-occurring disorders, or telehealth; hospital, inpatient, outpatient, or clinic experience is a plus.
- Additional approaches or populations of interest are of great value here.
- Familiarity with research, data collection, clinical research, CPT coding, applied behavior analysis, art or dance therapy, and psychodynamic therapy is welcome.
Pay: $60.00 - $200.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
