UX Research Intern Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ux research intern in Georgia?
Becoming a ux research intern in Georgia does not require a state-issued license or credential. Most candidates are current students or recent graduates in human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, information science, or a related design field. Georgia employers typically look for coursework or project experience covering research methods, along with a portfolio demonstrating usability testing or interview work. Programs at Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia, and Georgia State all feed directly into the internship pipeline at Atlanta-area employers.
Which companies hire ux research interns in Georgia?
Georgia ux research intern roles are posted by AT&T, Pyrovio, and Honeywell and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Atlanta's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, health tech companies, and financial services firms makes it the primary source of recurring intern openings in the state.
Which Georgia cities have the most ux research intern jobs?
Atlanta and Alpharetta have the most ux research intern openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the majority of listings because it is home to large corporate headquarters, technology campuses, and health systems that maintain dedicated UX and product design teams, while smaller cities in the mix typically reflect a university presence or a regional office of a national tech employer.
Are there remote ux research intern jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of ux research intern openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the core tasks of this role, including user interviews, survey design, and synthesis, translate to distributed work. Moderated in-person usability sessions are the part of the role most likely to require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a ux research intern in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying through a university's formal internship program before building an independent portfolio. Georgia Tech's College of Computing and Georgia State's design programs run employer-connected capstone and co-op arrangements that place students with Atlanta companies even before graduation. Adjacent roles like data analyst assistant, product operations coordinator, or customer insights associate at Georgia-based firms are common lateral starting points. A portfolio showing even one end-to-end research project, including recruiting, conducting, and synthesizing findings, gives candidates a concrete edge over those with coursework alone.
