- OCP & Industry Forums: Integrate OCP DC-SCM standards and represent the company within OCP and other industry hardware forums.
- Supply Chain Agility: Pivot board layouts responsively based on real-time parts availability and manage critical Tier-1 supplier relationships.
- Design & Review: Drive schematic development using Cadence OrCAD and collaborate with Layout, Mechanical, and SI engineers to meet OCP DC-SCM and NVIDIA IFF form factors.
Qualifications
- Experience & Education: 20+ years of hardware engineering experience with a leadership track record in server, data center, or semiconductor ecosystems. B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (EE).
- Production Track Record: Proven history of taking complex board designs to high-volume production with excellent yields and resolving field RMA issues.
- Hands-on Technical Mastery: Deep, continuous experience with circuit design, schematic capture, laboratory equipment, and platform troubleshooting.
- DC-SCM & Ecosystem Expertise: Strong knowledge of OCP DC-SCM standard solutions, including DC-SCI interfaces and form factors, along with a solid network across hyperscaler and OEM partners.
- Supply Chain Agility: Demonstrated capability to execute rapid hardware redesigns, footprint compatibility strategies, and alternative component sourcing.
- Tool & Interface Proficiency: Expert familiarity with Cadence OrCAD/Allegro and server interfaces including PCIe, USB, I2C, SMBus, SPI, UART, MCTP, eSPI, and LTPI.
- Architecture & Software Knowledge: Solid understanding of modern CPU/GPU architectures and the Linux environment, including Python or Bash scripting.

Vice President Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a vice president in California?
Most vice president roles in California require a bachelor's degree plus a decade or more of progressive management experience, with an MBA preferred in sectors like finance, technology, and consulting. California has no state-issued license specific to the vice president title, but roles in financial services may require FINRA registrations, healthcare VP roles often expect executives familiar with California Department of Public Health regulations, and real estate VP positions may require a California Department of Real Estate broker license.
Which companies hire vice presidents in California?
California vice president roles are posted by JPMorganChase, BKF Engineers, and WSP and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. California's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major financial institutions, and leading technology firms makes it one of the deepest markets for executive hiring in the country.
Which California cities have the most vice president jobs?
San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego lead California for vice president openings. San Francisco and its surrounding Bay Area drive volume through the density of technology and venture-backed firms headquartered there, Los Angeles reflects demand across entertainment, media, and financial services, and San Diego's strength in biotech and defense draws executive hiring from both large anchors and fast-growing mid-sized companies.
Are there remote vice president jobs in California?
Yes, though the share is smaller than for individual contributor roles since vice presidents are generally expected to lead in-person teams and engage directly with boards and partners. About 57% of vice president openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with fully remote positions most common in functions like marketing, finance, and product strategy where leadership can be exercised effectively without a fixed physical presence.
How can I get hired as a vice president in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is a director or senior manager role in a California company where VP-level advancement is structured and internal. Large California employers in technology, healthcare, and financial services promote from director tracks, and gaining P&L responsibility early is the clearest differentiator. Adjacent roles like senior director of operations, finance director, or head of product in a California division give candidates the scope needed to make a credible VP case. An MBA from a California institution or a FINRA registration for financial roles strengthens an application noticeably.
