Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.
- Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals. Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion resulting in resistance to wear, dimensional stability and its design meeting the specifications of the product.
Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
- Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards
- Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs
- Selects and stages tubes for winder operation
- Doffs off finished yarn packages as required
- Maintains daily production records
- Run both creeling and winding side when needed
- Uses black light to check there are no mixes
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
Type of Experience and Knowledge:
Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Successful completion of all required on the job training
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
- Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred
