Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.
Serve as a technical, process and lead trouble-shooting expert for the CV department. Ensure compliance with all internal/external guidelines for product quality, associate training, and OSHA regulations. Assist with the implementation of standards, procedures and policies to support the continuous improvement of product quality and production efficiency.
Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
- Operate equipment and make machine/process adjustments for optimized production of CV products.
- Exercise the necessary safety precautions to ensure the safety of all personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and guidelines to assure the highest level of personnel proficiency and product quality while maximizing yields and minimizing costs.
- Monitor key equipment parameters and record data as applicable. Process Operator will use key equipment parameters to adjust the process for optimized results.
- Assist with conducting trials in production processes.
- Responsible for ensuring that all preventive maintenance procedures are documented, followed in a timely manner and modified as required. In addition, also responsible for auditing PM activity to ensure procedural compliance, consistency and required frequency of maintenance efforts.
- Must work closely with Quality Control to analyze construction-related quality concerns, determine specific causal factors and develop corrective actions to mitigate or eliminate quality or productivity issues.
- Troubleshoot products and machinery as it relates to tooling and milling issues.
- Analyze operator and machinery errors that produce quality defects and corrects skill deficiencies.
- Investigate and solve technical process, equipment, or material issues and initiate corrective action.
- Ensure compliance to manufacturing process flow for operational area of responsibility. Responsible for resolving issues of non-compliance in a timely manner. Escalate issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Identify areas for process improvement in functional area and initiate actions with respective resources, (i.e., maintenance, engineering, and management).
- Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
- Follow all established standard operating procedures.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Type of Experience and Knowledge:
Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2-year experience in an industrial environment.
- Experienced in (continuous) production processes.
- Previous equipment operation and equipment troubleshooting experience required.
- Must have a complete understanding of Univision machine vision systems.
Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.
- Read and comprehend technical manuals and blueprint drawings.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft office.
- Previous experience in an automated manufacturing production environment highly preferred.
- Must be willing to work across shifts and be available on a call-in basis.
- Demonstrated effectiveness with interpersonal and communication skills.
