ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will serve as a trusted technical resource and the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone or email.

You’ll:

• Configure and maintain user desktops, laptops, and iPhone devices and keep them updated with new software and security patches
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services
• Record events and problems and their resolution in Kaseya
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions

We’re looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Technician who is ready to make an impact in GMC Montgomery.

• Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
• Pass on any feedback or suggestions from customers to the appropriate internal team

You’re an experienced IT Helpdesk Technician who enjoys both the work and the people behind the work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
• 5+ years of experience, preferred
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Experience with active directory
• Experience mapping network drives and printers
• The ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
• Good troubleshooting skills over the phone or e-mail
• The ability to learn custom software packages as needed
• The ability to work independently and self-managed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is primarily an office-based role, with opportunities to get out into the field and stay connected to the projects and people you’re serving. In our GMC Montgomery office, you will experience a strong office culture and be centrally located to a vibrant restaurant scene and premier upscale outdoor shopping.

Travel: 10%, based upon business needs

Work will entail having prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and working in an office environment.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
