ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Equipment Technician to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Equipment Engineering Manager and based in Newark DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
- Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of sensors, actuators, and motor controls.
- Analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Assist in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC’s and control panels for manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in documentation, including wiring diagrams, test reports, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all electrical and automation tasks.
- Assist in test system startup procedures.
- Make recommendations for electrical layout improvements.
- Develop BOM’s and spare parts lists for critical systems and equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of electrical or electronic technician experience
- Familiarity with electrical circuits, motor controls, and industrial automation
- Basic understanding of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems, electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotics
- MS Office suite
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (optional)
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs
- Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift
- Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials
- Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff
- Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots).
