Which transportation companies sponsor Green Card visas in Delaware?
Delaware-based and regional transportation employers with documented PERM labor certification activity include NFI Industries, Amazon's New Castle fulfillment and logistics operations, and freight carriers operating through the Port of Wilmington. Rail and intermodal companies with Delaware corridors, such as CSX and Norfolk Southern, have also sponsored permanent residency for specialized operations and engineering roles. Employer PERM filings are publicly searchable through OFLC disclosure data.
Which cities in Delaware have the most transportation Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington generates the highest concentration of transportation Green Card sponsorship activity in Delaware, driven by the Port of Wilmington, I-95 freight corridors, and proximity to Philadelphia distribution networks. New Castle sees significant logistics and warehousing sponsorship tied to its industrial parks and airport cargo operations. Dover, as the state capital, produces additional sponsorship through state transportation agency roles and regional motor carrier headquarters.
How do I find transportation Green Card sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate aggregates transportation jobs with verified Green Card sponsorship history in Delaware, filtering roles by PERM filing activity so you can target employers who have sponsored permanent residency before. Search by transportation job category and filter to Delaware to surface logistics coordinators, fleet managers, transportation engineers, and commercial driver roles at companies with active sponsorship programs in the state.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Delaware?
Roles most commonly sponsored through PERM in Delaware's transportation sector include logistics and supply chain managers, transportation engineers, fleet operations supervisors, port operations specialists, and dispatch coordinators requiring specialized systems experience. Commercial driver positions are occasionally sponsored when employers demonstrate domestic recruitment difficulty. Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or a clearly defined specialty qualification have a more straightforward PERM pathway than general labor positions.
Are there any Delaware-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in transportation?
Delaware's small geographic size means many transportation employers operate across state lines, so a sponsoring employer may be headquartered in Pennsylvania or New Jersey while the work location is Delaware. The PERM prevailing wage is determined by the specific worksite county, not the employer's headquarters state. Delaware's port and logistics growth has increased PERM activity in New Castle County specifically, and OFLC Wage Search can confirm the applicable wage level for a given role and location before you apply.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card transportation jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
