Job Title
Rugs Manufacturing Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is recruiting for a supervisor to manage in the rug department as they strive to service Plant 1R in conjunction with the commercial and residential divisions in an accident-free environment. This will be accomplished through a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and team development. Partnership with plant management, human resources, and all team members will be vital. The Team Manager will act as a facilitator to aid associates in examining and improving the ways in which they work together to achieve better results. This will be accomplished through managing group and one-to-one discussions, applying coaching and corrective action when necessary, and communicating the goals and direction of the team. This position should also develop and maintain a firm working knowledge of the rug department and procedures it contains.
This position schedule is 11:00 pm-7:30 am Monday thru Friday, with extended hours up to 12 hours per day. Saturdays and Sundays may be scheduled as needed.
Responsibilities:

Able to work a flexible schedule and provide support for each shift.

Accurate control of all materials entering and exiting the rug department.

Oversee team development, onboarding and training.
-
Facilitate improvements to department procedures and processes.

Maintain process measurements to drive improvements.
-
Ensure all safety requirements are met.
-
Audit log sheets, housekeeping and daily tasks to ensure completion.

Work in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
-
Assist with trailer movement, shipping/receiving, and inventory as needed.
-
Maintain timesheets, apply coaching techniques, and conduct one-to-one discussions.

Coordinate any other applicable responsibilities as needed to support the department.
Requirements:

1+ years of manufacturing or logistics experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
-
Previous experience in Logistics preferred.
-
High School Diploma/GED.
-
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and similar computer software.
