Which fintech companies in Georgia sponsor work visas?
Major fintech employers in Georgia include NCR Corporation in Atlanta, Global Payments, Fiserv, First Data (now part of Fiserv), and Kabbage. Traditional financial institutions like SunTrust (now Truist) and regional banks also sponsor visas for their technology divisions. Many of these companies regularly file H-1B petitions and sponsor other visa types for qualified international candidates.
What visa types are most common for fintech jobs in Georgia?
H-1B visas are most prevalent for fintech roles in Georgia, particularly for software engineers, data scientists, and quantitative analysts. O-1 visas may apply for senior roles requiring extraordinary ability. L-1 visas are common when international fintech companies transfer employees to their Atlanta offices. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying technology positions.
How to find fintech visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for fintech positions in Georgia that offer visa sponsorship. Filter by Atlanta and surrounding metro areas where most fintech companies operate. Focus on companies with established H-1B filing histories like NCR, Fiserv, and Global Payments, as well as emerging fintech startups in Atlanta's technology district that may sponsor international talent.
Which Georgia cities have the most fintech visa sponsorship opportunities?
Atlanta dominates Georgia's fintech sponsorship market, housing major companies like NCR, Global Payments, and Fiserv's regional operations. Sandy Springs and Alpharetta in the Atlanta metro area also host significant fintech employers. Columbus has some financial services technology roles, while Savannah offers limited opportunities primarily in payment processing and banking technology sectors.
Are there state-specific advantages for fintech visa sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia's lower cost of living compared to traditional fintech hubs like San Francisco makes prevailing wage requirements more achievable for employers sponsoring visas. The state's business-friendly environment and proximity to major universities like Georgia Tech create a pipeline for international students transitioning to sponsored employment. Atlanta's status as a southeastern financial center attracts companies establishing regional technology operations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored fintech jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
