Which legal companies in Georgia sponsor visas most frequently?
Major Atlanta-based law firms including King & Spalding, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, and Alston & Bird regularly sponsor H-1B visas for international attorneys. Corporate legal departments at Home Depot, UPS, Delta Air Lines, and Coca-Cola also provide sponsorship opportunities for in-house counsel positions requiring specialized expertise in areas like international law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
What visa types are most common for legal professionals in Georgia?
H-1B visas dominate for attorney positions requiring specialized legal knowledge, particularly in corporate law, intellectual property, and international trade. O-1 visas are used for attorneys with extraordinary achievements in specialized fields. L-1 visas apply to international law firm transfers, while TN visas serve qualifying Canadian and Mexican attorneys at firms with cross-border practices.
How to find legal visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate specializes in Georgia legal positions with visa sponsorship, filtering opportunities by visa type and experience level. Focus on Atlanta's international law firms and corporate headquarters, plus emerging markets in Savannah and Athens. Target firms with established immigration practices or Fortune 500 companies requiring specialized legal expertise in areas like international compliance and cross-border transactions.
Which Georgia cities offer the most legal visa sponsorship opportunities?
Atlanta dominates with its concentration of international law firms and Fortune 500 corporate headquarters requiring specialized legal talent. Savannah offers opportunities in maritime law and international trade, while Athens benefits from University of Georgia's legal programs creating pathways for international attorneys. Columbus and Augusta provide additional corporate legal opportunities, though at smaller scales than Atlanta's market.
What are the prevailing wage requirements for legal positions in Georgia?
Georgia's prevailing wages for attorneys vary significantly by specialization and location, with Atlanta commanding higher rates than smaller cities. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored legal jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
