Which investment management companies in Georgia sponsor work visas?
Major sponsors include Invesco (one of the largest asset managers globally, headquartered in Atlanta), Truist Investment Services, Synovus Securities, and regional wealth management firms. Many Atlanta-based hedge funds and private equity firms also sponsor visas for specialized roles like quantitative analysts, portfolio managers, and investment researchers with advanced degrees in finance or economics.
What are the most common visa types for investment management jobs in Georgia?
H-1B visas dominate for specialized roles like portfolio managers, research analysts, and risk management specialists requiring bachelor's degrees in finance, economics, or mathematics. O-1 visas are used for senior portfolio managers with exceptional track records. EB-2 and EB-3 green cards are common for permanent positions, especially for CFA charterholders and quantitative professionals.
How to find investment management visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international professionals with Georgia investment management firms that sponsor visas. Focus on Atlanta's financial district, Buckhead office complexes, and emerging fintech hubs in Alpharetta. Target roles at asset management companies, wealth management divisions of major banks, and boutique investment firms throughout metro Atlanta.
Which Georgia cities have the most investment management visa sponsorship opportunities?
Atlanta dominates with over 80% of opportunities, concentrated in Midtown, Buckhead, and the financial district downtown. Alpharetta and Sandy Springs host many regional investment firms and fintech companies. Columbus and Savannah offer limited opportunities, primarily through regional banks and wealth management offices serving local high-net-worth clients.
What are the prevailing wage requirements for investment management roles in Georgia?
Georgia's prevailing wages for investment management positions are generally 10-15% lower than New York or California markets, making sponsorship more accessible for employers. Portfolio manager and research analyst positions typically meet H-1B wage requirements easily. The state's lower cost of living compared to traditional financial centers helps justify competitive compensation packages for international hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored investment management jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
