Who You Are:
The Principal, Marketing Strategy leads and supports efforts to assess, plan and implement strategies aimed at increasing the market share and generating growth in existing market segments or new business opportunities in high growth areas. This role will lead strategic marketing initiatives using statistical analysis, competitive data and market knowledge to determine key growth opportunities.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for development of strategic marketing plan for the business.
- Manage the development of go to market strategies (workflows) and their value propositions to customers.
- Develop and manage processes for strategic revenue forecasting, modeling existing and new markets, market research, customer and market segmentation, competitor analysis, market share analysis and similar activities.
- Create and deliver executive level presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to collect and review sales information, market trending data and develop a view for company success.
- Monitor competitive developments and establish new sources of competitive intelligence through the use of data analysis and competitive market knowledge.
- Perform quantitative analyses on new opportunities and make data driven recommendations.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop near, mid and long-term workflow/application strategy.
- Develop strategic marketing programs driving key corporate focus areas and workflow in conjunction with field sales team.
- Spearhead specific strategic marketing initiatives such as Sustainability and Connectivity and Peering.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related discipline or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ten years of strategic marketing, sales or related experience.
- Five or more years of people leadership experience.
Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree in business, or equivalent experience preferred.

- Navigates within a broad matrix structure.
- Juggles multiple and diverse projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Effectively manage a team of product marketing managers.
- Director and team has direct revenue impact.
- Ability to convey complex ideas in simple, relevant manner.
- Presents to senior executives, customers, product and sales leadership.
