Row Crop Job Description: This job requires machine harvest of bulk radish, carrots, and beets; hand harvest vegetables; irrigation, planting, tractor/mechanical maintenance, crop preparation, crop protection, crop transport, machinery maintenance and tear down sanitation of grounds/facilities by the worker.
Workers can also:
- Drive tractors
- Spray and mix chemicals and fertilizers
- Operate trucks to carry farm equipment, crops and farmworkers
- Perform general repair of agricultural equipment
- Pack crops into containers.
Field Worker will do the following tasks:
- Plant transplants and/or seeds
- Harvest a variety of produce
- Lift and stack produce on trucks for transport to main farm
- Perform weeding as needed
- Follow instructions from Field Supervisors
- Keep production levels at crew rates
- Work with irrigation systems
- Perform manual labor as needed
- Work safely following procedures and instructions
- Follow instructions regarding hygiene and food safety.
