These companies typically sponsor H-2A visas for seasonal agricultural workers and H-1B visas for agricultural engineers, farm managers, and agricultural scientists with specialized expertise.
Which visa types are most common for agriculture roles in Arizona?
H-2A visas dominate Arizona's agriculture sector for seasonal workers in crop harvesting and livestock operations. H-1B visas are common for agricultural engineers, farm management roles, and research positions. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican agricultural professionals, while EB-3 provides permanent residency paths for experienced agricultural workers and managers.
How to find agriculture visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Use Migrate Mate to browse agriculture visa sponsorship positions specifically in Arizona. The platform filters jobs by state and industry, showing which companies actively sponsor visas for roles like farm managers, agricultural technicians, livestock specialists, and crop production supervisors across Arizona's major agricultural regions including Maricopa, Yuma, and Pinal counties.
Which cities in Arizona have the most agriculture sponsorship jobs?
Yuma leads Arizona in agriculture visa sponsorship opportunities due to its massive lettuce and citrus production, followed by Phoenix and the broader Maricopa County region for dairy operations and food processing. Tucson offers positions with agricultural research institutions, while smaller cities like Casa Grande and Willcox provide opportunities in cotton farming and livestock operations.
What are the prevailing wage requirements for agriculture jobs in Arizona?
Arizona agriculture visa sponsorship requires employers to meet Department of Labor prevailing wage standards, which vary by occupation and county. Maricopa County typically has higher prevailing wages than rural counties like Yuma or Cochise. Specialized roles like agricultural engineers command significantly higher prevailing wages than general farm worker positions under H-2A programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored agriculture jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
