Position Summary

The Field Project Coordinator supports the project management and field operations teams by coordinating daily construction activities, tracking project documentation, communicating with subcontractors and suppliers, and helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, and company standards.

This role serves as a key link between the field and office, helping the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, vendors, and ownership team stay aligned throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager with daily field coordination.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field crews to support project workflow.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documents to help identify field issues or conflicts.
• Track and document daily jobsite progress, manpower, deliveries, inspections, and site conditions.
• Assist with preparing and submitting RFIs, field reports, meeting notes, punch lists, and other project documentation.
• Help coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and site logistics.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and communicate schedule impacts or coordination issues to the project team.
• Assist with quality control by verifying work is being performed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Support safety efforts by helping identify jobsite hazards and communicating safety concerns to supervision.
• Take and organize project photos for documentation and progress tracking.
• Assist with inspections, testing coordination, closeout documentation, and turnover requirements.
• Maintain communication between the field team and office staff to ensure project information is accurate and up to date.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, field coordination, project administration, or a related role preferred.
• General understanding of construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and jobsite operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Ability to identify issues in the field and communicate them clearly.
• Basic understanding of construction safety practices.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and construction management software preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on assignments.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Experience

• Commercial construction experience.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change order documentation, daily reports, and punch lists.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build, or similar construction software.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Ability to work on active construction sites.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders, and navigate uneven jobsite conditions.
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry light jobsite materials or documents.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to travel to project sites as needed.

Reporting Structure

The Field Project Coordinator typically reports to the Project Manager and/or Superintendent and works closely with the field operations team, subcontractors, suppliers, and project administration staff.
