Which investment management companies sponsor E-3 visas in Kentucky?
Louisville-based firms including Hilliard Lyons, Stock Yards Wealth Management, and regional offices of national asset managers such as Vanguard and Fidelity have filed Labor Condition Applications for investment and financial roles. Larger custodian banks and insurance-affiliated investment arms operating in Kentucky also appear in DOL LCA disclosure data as sponsors of specialty occupation positions.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the majority of investment management E-3 sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of wealth management firms, insurance-linked asset managers, and regional bank trust departments. Lexington has a smaller but active financial services presence, particularly through firms serving institutional and high-net-worth clients in central Kentucky.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify under the specialty occupation standard include portfolio analyst, investment research analyst, quantitative analyst, financial advisor, compliance analyst, and fund accountant. Each requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, economics, or accounting. General relationship management roles that do not require a specific degree field are less likely to qualify.
How do I find investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and state, so you can search specifically for investment management roles in Kentucky where employers have verified E-3 LCA filing history. This saves time compared to manually checking DOL disclosure files. Focus your search on Louisville-based firms and filter by job titles like portfolio analyst or investment associate to surface the most relevant openings.
Are there any Kentucky-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in investment management?
Kentucky does not impose state-level licensing requirements specific to E-3 holders, but investment roles involving client-facing advisory work may require FINRA Series licenses, which are obtainable while on E-3 status. The prevailing wage for investment roles in Louisville is benchmarked against DOL OFLC Wage Search data, and employers must certify the offered wage meets that threshold before the LCA is approved.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 investment management jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
