Role Summary
Leads an Equity-focused investment operations team responsible for supporting Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and broader investment stakeholders across the full lifecycle of products and accounts. Serves as a key liaison between investment teams and operational partners, providing oversight for complex, time-sensitive deliverables such as attribution, performance reporting, data stewardship, platform enablement, and investment-driven change initiatives.
Accountable for team performance, talent management, and delivery against agreed service expectations, while positioning the Equity IL function as a strategic partner to the investment division and operational partners.
Responsibilities
People Leadership & Talent Development:
- Leads, coaches, and develops a team of Equity Investment Liaisons, fostering strong engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Owns workforce planning, hiring, performance management, and succession planning for the team.
- Creates an environment that promotes continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and development of asset-class, platform, and investment process expertise.
Investment & Stakeholder Support:
- Acts as an escalation point for complex investment-related operational issues that require deep Equity strategy knowledge and cross-functional coordination.
- Partners closely with Portfolio Managers and leadership to understand evolving strategy needs and ensure operational support scales appropriately.
- Maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders across Investments, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Client teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Operational Excellence & Change Leadership:
- Oversees workflow planning, prioritization, and capacity management to ensure accurate and timely execution of core Equity IL deliverables.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards, controls, and governance frameworks established by leadership.
- Leads and contributes to firmwide and investment-division initiatives, including platform implementations, data remediation efforts, attribution enhancements, and process transformation programs impacting Equity strategies.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, reduce risk, and improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and improved data stewardship.
Data, Platforms & Reporting Oversight:
- Provides oversight and direction for Equity attribution, performance, and analytics support, ensuring outputs meet investment and client expectations.
- Champions strong data management practices across benchmarks, reference data, and reporting inputs that underpin Equity investment decisions.
- Partners with technology and data teams to support platform enhancements and adoption across the investment ecosystem.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 8+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, asset management, or a related field
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline
- Proven people leader with experience managing, developing, and motivating teams
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to balance detail-oriented execution and big-picture outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and build credibility with senior investment stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with comfort navigating ambiguity and change

Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

- $110,000.00 - $188,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
- $121,000.00 - $207,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
- $138,000.00 - $236,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
