JOB MISSION:
As the Team Apparel Production Graphic Designer, you will lead the uniform and apparel graphic design direction, communicate that vision with impactful sales tools, and support the product-creation and sales teams in presenting concepts.
You will have a strong knowledge of Team Sports and Uniforms and be able to provide a creative point of difference for New Balance in this category. You will be responsible for meeting key project deadlines based on process calendars and working cross-functionally with product management and development.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Design uniforms and complementary team training apparel graphics across New Balance sport categories
- Prepare final files for our partners and vendors based upon their specific set-up requirements, ensuring quality and accuracy
- Meet daily output and larger project deadlines on a consistent basis
- Create graphic templates suitable for digital customization and sublimation printing
- Preparation and layout of impactful sales tools
- Ability to research and create relevant, cohesive graphic stories & systems
- Creation and maintenance of individual style pages and merchandising boards
- Present graphic concepts, sketches and designs to internal product teams, collegiate partners and management as required
- Attend cross-functional team meetings to gain a better understanding of product development and the manufacturing process.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design and/or Fashion Design
- A preferred 2 years of relevant apparel industry experience
- Understanding of team uniforms and performance training apparel
- Thorough knowledge of graphics production (e.g., screen-print color separation, sublimation printing, apparel graphic embellishment techniques, etc.)
- Must have strong artistic ability, including drawing skills, sense of image and type, with an excellent sense of design and color
- Basic understanding of garment construction
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & MS Office
- Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Must have a high-quality portfolio
- Boston-based or surrounding with ability to travel to Brighton, MA office three times a week
- Self-starter with excellent time management and committed to delivering high-quality work
LOCATION:
Boston, MA Headquarters
PAY RANGE:
$70,600.00 - $90,500.00 - $110,400.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
