ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Software Packaging Specialist to standardize and automate software packaging processes across the enterprise. This role will establish packaging standards, build automation pipelines, and ensure consistent artifact management practices.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement software packaging standards
- Build and maintain packaging automation pipelines
- Manage artifact repositories (Artifactory, container registries)
- Create packaging templates and patterns for common technology stacks
- Develop documentation and training for development teams
- Support container image standardization efforts
- Integrate packaging workflows with CI/CD pipelines
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in build/release engineering
- 3+ years experience with artifact management systems
- Strong understanding of software supply chain security
- Experience with container image building and optimization
- Familiarity with enterprise software distribution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Sigstore/cosign for signing
- Background in DevSecOps practices
- SBOM tooling experience (Syft, CycloneDX)
- Experience in financial services compliance
- Familiarity with Docker Desktop enterprise deployment

COMPENSATION
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000.
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
