Major automotive employers sponsoring visas in Mississippi include Nissan at their Canton assembly plant, Toyota Motor Manufacturing at Blue Springs, Continental Tire in Hinds County, and Steel Dynamics in Columbus. Automotive suppliers like Calsonic Kansei, Yazaki North America, and various tier-one suppliers throughout the Golden Triangle region also provide sponsorship opportunities for engineering and technical roles.

Which visa types are most common for automotive roles in Mississippi?
H-1B visas dominate for automotive engineering positions, quality engineers, and manufacturing engineers in Mississippi. L-1 visas are common for intra-company transfers, particularly for Japanese nationals working at Nissan's Canton facility or international automotive suppliers establishing Mississippi operations.

What is the prevailing wage for sponsored automotive jobs in Mississippi?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn.
