Which cybersecurity companies sponsor E-3 visas in Missouri?
Several large Missouri employers have filed Labor Condition Applications for cybersecurity roles. In St. Louis, financial services firms such as Mastercard, Edward Jones, and Centene have active security teams. In Kansas City, technology and insurance companies including Cerner (now Oracle Health) and major regional banks sponsor E-3 candidates for roles in network security, risk management, and security operations. DOL LCA disclosure data confirms these filing patterns.
Which cities in Missouri have the most cybersecurity E-3 sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis leads Missouri for cybersecurity E-3 sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare, and defense contractors. Kansas City is the second-largest market, with a growing technology corridor and strong demand in fintech and insurance security. Columbia and Springfield have smaller but emerging cybersecurity hiring pipelines, primarily through healthcare systems and state government contractors.
What types of cybersecurity roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that qualify as specialty occupations under the E-3 standard include information security analyst, cybersecurity engineer, penetration tester, security architect, cloud security engineer, and threat intelligence analyst. Each position must require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as computer science, information security, or a closely aligned discipline. O*NET occupation profiles and USCIS guidance help confirm whether a specific role meets the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find cybersecurity E-3 sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate lists cybersecurity positions in Missouri from employers with verified E-3 LCA filing history, so you can filter specifically for companies that have sponsored Australian candidates in security roles. Searching by industry and state surfaces relevant openings in St. Louis and Kansas City. You can also cross-reference employer filing records through the OFLC Wage Search tool to confirm prevailing wage compliance before applying.
Are there any Missouri-specific or industry-specific considerations for cybersecurity E-3 sponsorship?
Missouri's cybersecurity sector includes a notable defense and government contracting presence, particularly around St. Louis. Some contractor roles require security clearances that are only available to U.S. citizens, which limits E-3 eligibility for those specific positions. However, commercial employers in financial services and healthcare are generally not subject to clearance requirements. Applicants should confirm with each employer whether the role has citizenship or clearance restrictions before pursuing sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 cybersecurity jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
