Which accounting companies sponsor E-3 visas in Missouri?
The Big Four firms, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and KPMG, all have Missouri offices and established visa sponsorship processes. Forvis Mazars (formerly BKD), headquartered in Springfield with major offices in St. Louis and Kansas City, is a prominent regional firm with a history of sponsoring international talent. Large corporate employers in healthcare and financial services, including Centene Corporation and Edward Jones, also hire credentialed accountants and have sponsored E-3 workers.
Which cities in Missouri have the most accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis and Kansas City account for the great majority of accounting E-3 opportunities in Missouri. St. Louis hosts the headquarters or major regional offices of several large financial and healthcare companies, while Kansas City has a strong professional services sector anchored by public accounting firms and corporate finance teams. Springfield sees some activity given Forvis Mazars' roots there, but the volume of open roles is considerably smaller than in the two major metros.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a closely related field generally qualify as specialty occupations under the E-3. This includes public accounting positions such as audit associate, tax associate, and assurance manager, as well as corporate roles like financial analyst, internal auditor, and management accountant. Roles where any general business degree satisfies the employer's requirement, regardless of field, are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters listings by visa type, so you can search directly for E-3 accounting roles in Missouri without sifting through positions that offer no sponsorship. The platform covers both Big Four firms and regional employers active in St. Louis and Kansas City. Filtering by the Accounting & Auditing category alongside the E-3 visa type gives you the most relevant results for your situation.
Are there any Missouri-specific considerations for accounting E-3 sponsorship?
Missouri does not impose state-level licensing requirements that block E-3 workers from employment before CPA licensure, but many employers do expect candidates to be on a clear path toward the CPA credential. Australian applicants should be aware that Missouri requires 150 credit hours for CPA licensure, which may differ from their home qualifications. Additionally, Missouri's cost of living relative to coastal markets can affect how employers position compensation packages, which in turn must meet the prevailing wage standard required for the E-3 Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 accounting jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
