Which electronics companies sponsor visas in Nebraska?
Major electronics visa sponsors in Nebraska include Valmont Industries (irrigation systems), Lindsay Corporation (agricultural technology), ConAgra Brands (food processing automation), and Berkshire Hathaway Energy (power systems). These companies frequently hire electronics engineers, embedded software developers, and automation specialists on H-1B and other work visas for their manufacturing and technology operations.
How to find electronics visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for electronics positions in Nebraska that offer visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs by state and industry, showing which Nebraska electronics companies actively sponsor work visas. Focus on Omaha and Lincoln metro areas where most electronics employers are concentrated, particularly in agricultural technology and manufacturing sectors.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most electronics sponsorship jobs?
Omaha leads Nebraska's electronics job market, hosting companies like ConAgra Brands and various manufacturing firms. Lincoln follows closely with agricultural technology companies and University of Nebraska research partnerships. Smaller opportunities exist in Grand Island and Kearney, primarily in manufacturing and food processing automation. These four cities account for most electronics visa sponsorship positions statewide.
What visa types are most common for electronics jobs in Nebraska?
H-1B visas dominate Nebraska's electronics sector, particularly for software engineers developing agricultural IoT systems and manufacturing automation. O-1 visas occasionally apply for senior engineers with specialized expertise in precision agriculture technology. What are the prevailing wage requirements for electronics roles in Nebraska?
Nebraska electronics prevailing wages vary by metro area, with Omaha-Council Bluffs commanding higher rates than Lincoln or smaller cities. Electronics engineers typically fall into Level II or III categories depending on experience and specialization. Agricultural technology roles often qualify for Level III wages due to specialized knowledge requirements in precision farming and IoT applications.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored electronics jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
