Which investment management companies sponsor visas in Nebraska?
Key sponsors include Charles Schwab (former TD Ameritrade), Great Western Bank, and Pinnacle Bank in Omaha. Regional wealth management firms like Silverstone Group and advisory practices affiliated with larger networks also sponsor H-1B visas for portfolio managers, research analysts, and compliance specialists. Many positions require CFA or similar credentials.
Which visa types are most common for investment management roles in Nebraska?
H-1B visas dominate for entry-level analysts, portfolio managers, and compliance officers requiring specialized finance degrees. O-1 visas are rare but used for senior portfolio managers with exceptional track records. L-1 visas apply when large firms transfer investment professionals to Nebraska offices. TN visas work for Canadian analysts in qualifying roles.
How to find investment management visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Use Migrate Mate to browse investment management positions specifically filtered for Nebraska and visa sponsorship eligibility. Focus your search on Omaha-based firms and regional banks expanding their wealth management divisions. Many Nebraska sponsors prefer candidates with Midwest ties or willingness to commit long-term to the region's financial community.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most investment management sponsorship jobs?
Omaha dominates with over 80% of sponsorship opportunities, hosting major financial services firms and Berkshire Hathaway's headquarters. Lincoln offers limited positions, mainly with regional banks and credit unions. Grand Island and Kearney have minimal opportunities, typically with smaller community banks requiring local market expertise and relationship-building skills.
What are the prevailing wage requirements for investment management roles in Nebraska?
Nebraska's prevailing wages for investment analysts typically range in the lower tier compared to coastal markets, but still meet H-1B requirements. Portfolio managers and senior research roles command higher wages. The state's low cost of living means sponsored professionals often enjoy better purchasing power than equivalent coastal positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored investment management jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
