What You’ll Do
- Review outpatient and/or inpatient records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes following current standards
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to resolve coding questions
- Enter coding data into encoder and hospital information systems accurately and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of relevant outpatient ICD-10 and CPT coding experience or recent graduates of a coding/billing program (we’re willing to train the right candidate)
- Knowledge of E/M levels, injection and infusions, inpatient and outpatient coding and method 2 clinic coding and billing is a plus
- CCA or CCS credentialed candidates are preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to teamwork
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work on-site for at least the first six months, with potential for occasional remote work thereafter depending on skill level
