Position Summary:
As a Civil Engineer you will be responsible for working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary design team to produce civil engineering designs on a variety of projects for mixed-use, commercial, educational, sports, hospitality and municipal buildings of all sizes and complexities, along with other site development opportunities.

The successful candidate will:
- Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process.
- Design, coordinate and prepare site development document, utilizing Autodesk's Civil 3D software, throughout project development on a wide variety of projects. Documentation will include site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, storm sewer and stormwater management design, paving, site utilities and associated civil engineering design deliverables.
- Perform complex assignments, using best judgement in the evaluation, selection and implementation of civil engineering techniques.
- Independently perform civil calculations, including code research.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, narratives and jurisdiction permitting applications.
- Write and review specifications.
- Review shop drawings and other construction related correspondence.
- Conduct site visits as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE).
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience, focused on site development related to buildings.
- Previous experience working in an A/E and / or Civil Engineering design firm.
- An appreciation and understanding of the integrated design process and a desire to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Working knowledge of additional current civil engineering related software (Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, InfraWorks).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving creativity and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong understanding of storm water management requirements and hydrologic design.
- Experience working on multiple projects at a time, and ability to set priorities to meet all project goals and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and interest in sustainable site design and low-impact strategies.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS Software.
- Knowledge of SketchUp or other rendering software for site plan presentations.
