JOB SUMMARY:
Identify business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs. Work closely with business owners and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. It is essential to build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables you to identify and address critical issues. Provide data that is accurate, congruent, and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems. Educate and train others to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration. Work with business owners to determine business requirements, priorities, define KPI’s, and develop BI and data warehouse (DW) strategy. This includes working with teams to design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. Participate in data engineering processes, assist with data ingestion, pipeline management, and centralized data repository administration.
DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and manage BI solutions including designing datasets using various data source types such as SQL, SharePoint lists, Excel and cloud-based data lakes.

Build and maintain modern data warehouse components using data pipelines, orchestration tools, and relational or lakehouse storage structures.

Implement optimized storage and connection modes in Power BI to enable fast reporting on large enterprise datasets.

Lead and/or assist in all phases of Analytics and Reporting requirements identification, design, development, and implementation Follow the application life cycle.

Conduct and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business owners and managers.
-
Interact with business owners to present and interpret findings to develop recommendations for action.

Work closely with project team to ensure that the end-to-end design and delivered solution meets business and data requirements. Project teams should be comprised of other IT team members, business leaders, and business owners.

Create and maintain requirements, design specifications, mapping documents, and reporting specifications.
-
Understand and document business rules and value sets for attributes to meet customer requirements.
-
Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL related activities.

Develop and conduct unit and integration activities and assist in User Acceptance Testing.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

Working knowledge of relational databases, data warehouse schema’s, and data mart design.

Working knowledge of data pipeline and ETL/ELT tools (such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent enterprise data integration tools).

Preferred knowledge with business intelligence components (ETL, Warehouse Design, data modeling).
-
Working knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI and SSRS.
-
Preferred experience working with data and statistical analysis.

Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to work on a team, as well as independently.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field, and/or a minimum of five years’ experience in an information technology related role is highly preferred.

DP-600 & DP-700 or equivalent associate analytics/data engineer certificates.
