Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in New York?
Large national distributors with significant New York operations, including food service wholesalers, pharmaceutical distributors, and industrial supply companies, have filed H-1B1 Singapore Labor Condition Applications in the past. Companies operating major distribution centers in the Bronx, Queens, and the Hudson Valley corridor are the most active filers. DOL LCA disclosure data, searchable through OFLC Wage Search, shows employer-level filing history by occupation and location.
Which cities in New York have the most distribution and wholesale H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn, concentrates the highest number of distribution and wholesale employers in the state, given proximity to JFK and major freight infrastructure. Buffalo and Albany are secondary hubs for regional wholesale trade. Long Island also hosts a notable cluster of wholesale operations serving the metro area, making Nassau and Suffolk counties worth considering alongside the five boroughs.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In distribution and wholesale, qualifying positions commonly include supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, procurement specialists, demand planning managers, and trade compliance analysts. General warehouse, driver, and sales representative roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard. O*NET occupation profiles can help verify whether a specific job title aligns with degree requirements.
How do I find distribution and wholesale H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship eligibility, including distribution and wholesale roles in New York. The platform surfaces employers with verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history for Singaporean nationals, so you can focus on companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor rather than cold-applying and asking. Searching by industry and location on Migrate Mate narrows results to relevant New York-based wholesale and distribution employers.
Are there any New York-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
New York's prevailing wage requirements apply to all H-1B1 visa LCA filings, and the state's high cost of living means wage levels certified by DOL are often higher than national averages for the same occupation. Distribution and wholesale employers in New York are also subject to state labor law compliance, which some companies factor into sponsorship decisions. Employers in heavily unionized sectors of the industry may have additional considerations around job classifications that affect which roles are structured as specialty occupations.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore distribution & wholesale jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
