Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in New York?
New York-based asset managers and hedge funds with established international hiring programs are the most active H-1B1 Singapore sponsors in investment management. Firms with large quantitative research, risk analytics, and portfolio management teams, including global asset managers concentrated in Midtown Manhattan, have the most consistent LCA filing history for Singapore nationals. Checking OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure data by employer and occupation code gives you the most current picture.
Which cities in New York have the most investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in New York State, with the highest concentration of roles in Midtown and the Plaza District where most major asset managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms are headquartered. Greenwich, Connecticut spillover sometimes draws candidates across state lines, but New York City itself dominates for registered LCA filings in this industry.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In investment management, this typically covers quantitative analyst, portfolio analyst, risk analyst, financial engineer, and investment research positions. Roles requiring advanced finance, mathematics, statistics, or economics degrees are strong candidates. Generalist or sales-oriented roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify.
How do I find investment management H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate surfaces investment management employers in New York with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history, so you can filter specifically for firms that have sponsored this visa type rather than applying broadly and hoping for sponsorship. Searching by occupation code and filtering for New York State narrows results to asset managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms with an active sponsorship track record in quantitative and research roles.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in investment management?
New York's investment management sector is highly competitive for international candidates because the city draws both domestic and global talent pools. Employers filing H-1B1 visa LCAs in New York must meet prevailing wage requirements set by DOL for the specific occupation and location, and New York City wages for investment management roles are benchmarked against one of the highest prevailing wage tiers nationally. Confirming the wage level assigned to a role using the OFLC Wage Search tool before applying helps set accurate expectations.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore investment management jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
