Which healthcare companies sponsor E-3 visas in Oklahoma?
The largest healthcare employers in Oklahoma with histories of sponsoring work visas include INTEGRIS Health, Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, OU Health (the academic medical center affiliated with the University of Oklahoma), and SSM Health. Larger hospital systems and academic medical centers are generally more structured to handle visa sponsorship than smaller independent clinics or private practices.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most healthcare E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the majority of healthcare E-3 opportunities in the state. Oklahoma City is home to OU Health, INTEGRIS, and SSM Health facilities, while Tulsa hosts Saint Francis Health System and Hillcrest HealthCare System. Smaller markets like Norman, Edmond, and Broken Arrow have growing medical facilities but offer fewer positions overall, and standalone clinics in those areas are less likely to have established visa sponsorship processes.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In healthcare, roles that commonly qualify include registered nurses with a relevant degree, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, clinical laboratory scientists, healthcare administrators, medical imaging professionals, and health informatics specialists. Roles where the degree requirement is general or non-specific, such as some support or entry-level administrative positions, are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find healthcare E-3 sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters for E-3 visa sponsorship, so you can search directly for healthcare roles in Oklahoma without sifting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. On Migrate Mate, you can narrow results by state and industry to surface relevant openings at Oklahoma health systems. Reaching out directly to the HR or talent acquisition teams at major Oklahoma hospital systems after identifying them through Migrate Mate can also help move your application forward.
Are there any Oklahoma-specific considerations for healthcare E-3 sponsorship?
Oklahoma requires out-of-state or internationally trained healthcare professionals to obtain state licensure before practicing, regardless of visa status. For example, registered nurses must apply to the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, and physical therapists must apply to the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Committee. The licensing timeline can run several weeks to a few months, so beginning that process early is important. Some Oklahoma employers will initiate the E-3 petition process concurrently with licensure, but this varies by employer.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 healthcare jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
