Search Insurance Jobs in OklahomaInsurance E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
Which insurance companies in Oklahoma have sponsored E-3 visas?
Oklahoma-based and regionally active insurers including State Farm, Farmers Insurance, and several regional carriers operating out of Oklahoma City and Tulsa have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. Large national carriers with Oklahoma offices tend to have established sponsorship infrastructure compared to smaller independent agencies, which rarely sponsor international workers. Checking OFLC disclosure data by employer name gives the most accurate picture of recent LCA filing activity.
Which Oklahoma cities offer the most insurance E-3 sponsorship opportunities?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the overwhelming majority of insurance E-3 sponsorship activity in the state. Oklahoma City hosts a concentration of corporate insurance offices, regional headquarters, and government-adjacent risk management operations. Tulsa has a strong presence in commercial lines, energy-sector insurance, and financial services firms that routinely employ actuaries, underwriters, and risk analysts in roles that meet the specialty occupation standard required for E-3 eligibility.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship?
Roles that consistently meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard in insurance include actuary, underwriter, financial analyst, risk analyst, compliance analyst, and data scientist positions. These roles require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or business administration. General sales agent or claims adjuster roles with no degree requirement are unlikely to qualify, as the specialty occupation standard requires theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge.
How do I find insurance E-3 sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma's insurance sector, surfacing employers who have a verified history of filing Labor Condition Applications for relevant roles. This is more reliable than broad job searches that don't distinguish between employers willing to sponsor E-3 visas and those that are not. Narrowing by occupation category within insurance, such as actuary or underwriter, further improves match quality for Australian professionals targeting Oklahoma.
Are there Oklahoma-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in insurance?
Oklahoma's insurance market is heavily influenced by property and casualty exposure from severe weather, which drives demand for actuaries, catastrophe modelers, and risk analysts, particularly roles with specialized quantitative skills that align well with E-3 specialty occupation requirements. Oklahoma does not impose state-level restrictions on employer visa sponsorship. However, insurance roles in Oklahoma often require state licensure separate from immigration status, so Australian candidates should confirm licensing eligibility and any residency requirements with the Oklahoma Insurance Department before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 insurance jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
