About the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Intern to join our Manufacturing Operations group as a Data Analysis Tool Developer. This unique role combines expertise in data science, machine learning, and web-based user interfaces to build innovative tools that support semiconductor data analysis and optimize manufacturing processes for Ampere’s cutting-edge products.

Internship period is full-time for summer 2026 (May/June - August/September)

What you’ll achieve:

• Create robust and intuitive web-based tools to support semiconductor data analysis and statistical comparisons across various manufacturing stages.
• Develop and implement predictive models utilizing machine learning techniques to optimize manufacturing yield and product performance.
• Generate comprehensive and actionable data visualization reports using programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or other relevant tools.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data analysis needs and translate them into functional software solutions.
• Gain hands-on experience in applying data science and machine learning to real-world semiconductor manufacturing challenges and data ecosystems.
• Contribute to the automation and efficiency of data processing workflows within the Manufacturing Ops group.

About you:

• Strong foundation in data science, machine learning concepts, and statistical analysis.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python (for data analysis, scripting) and C/C++.
• Exposure to web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, front-end frameworks) is a significant plus.
• Ability to work with large datasets, perform complex data manipulation, and extract meaningful insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address intricate data-related challenges.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail, a proactive approach to learning, and a desire to build impactful tools.

Education:

Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or related field. Bachelor's degree will also be considered.

The pay range for this role at the MS level is between $46 and $51 per hour, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $52 and $57 per hour.
