About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Intern to join our Manufacturing Operations group as a Data Analysis Tool Developer. This unique role combines expertise in data science, machine learning, and web-based user interfaces to build innovative tools that support semiconductor data analysis and optimize manufacturing processes for Ampere’s cutting-edge products.
The Ampere Internship program focuses on you to build your networks, support your efforts in making an impact, and giving you exposure to what Ampere does and how Ampere operates across the company. We want you to leave with the feeling that what you've worked on made a difference, a new level of confidence of what you're capable of, technical expertise, and a new network of contacts.
Internship period is full-time for summer 2026 (May/June - August/September)
What you’ll achieve:
- Create robust and intuitive web-based tools to support semiconductor data analysis and statistical comparisons across various manufacturing stages.
- Develop and implement predictive models utilizing machine learning techniques to optimize manufacturing yield and product performance.
- Generate comprehensive and actionable data visualization reports using programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data analysis needs and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Gain hands-on experience in applying data science and machine learning to real-world semiconductor manufacturing challenges and data ecosystems.
- Contribute to the automation and efficiency of data processing workflows within the Manufacturing Ops group.
About you:
- Strong foundation in data science, machine learning concepts, and statistical analysis.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python (for data analysis, scripting) and C/C++.
- Exposure to web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, front-end frameworks) is a significant plus.
- Ability to work with large datasets, perform complex data manipulation, and extract meaningful insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address intricate data-related challenges.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail, a proactive approach to learning, and a desire to build impactful tools.
Education:
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or related field. Bachelor's degree will also be considered.
