Which agriculture companies sponsor Green Card visas in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's largest agriculture Green Card sponsors include mushroom producers concentrated in Chester County, such as Giorgio Fresh and Monterey Mushrooms, dairy cooperatives in Lancaster and Lebanon counties, and food processing operations throughout the state. Large grain and feed companies with significant Pennsylvania operations also file Green Card petitions, primarily through the EB-3 category for skilled and unskilled agricultural workers.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most agriculture Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Kennett Square and the broader Chester County area lead Pennsylvania for agriculture Green Card sponsorship, driven by the region's dense concentration of mushroom farms. Lancaster and Lebanon counties follow closely, anchored by dairy farming and poultry operations. Harrisburg and York also see sponsorship activity from food processing and agricultural supply companies operating regional facilities in central Pennsylvania.
What types of agriculture roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Roles most commonly sponsored include agricultural scientists, soil scientists, agronomists, and food technologists under EB-2 for positions requiring advanced degrees. Farm operations managers, horticulturalists, and skilled equipment technicians typically qualify under EB-3. Seasonal or general farmworker roles may be sponsored through the EB-3 unskilled worker category, though these petitions face longer priority date backlogs depending on the applicant's country of birth.
How do I find agriculture Green Card sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored roles in the U.S., including agriculture Green Card jobs in Pennsylvania. Filters let you narrow results by state, visa type, and industry, so you can focus exclusively on Pennsylvania agriculture employers who have a verified history of Green Card sponsorship rather than sorting through listings where sponsorship status is unclear.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Pennsylvania agriculture?
Pennsylvania's agricultural economy is heavily concentrated in a few specialty sectors, meaning sponsorship demand is not evenly distributed across the state. Chester County mushroom operations and Lancaster County dairy farms drive the majority of petitions. Employers in these sectors often have established immigration counsel and recurring PERM filings, which signals genuine sponsorship capacity. Applicants from countries with high EB-3 backlog demand, such as India or Mexico, should confirm priority date timelines before accepting a role, as wait times vary significantly by country of birth.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card agriculture jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
