Tips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Pennsylvania
Target Pennsylvania's large health systems directly
UPMC, Penn Medicine, and Jefferson Health are among the state's most consistent Green Card sponsors. Applying directly through their careers portals puts you in front of employers with established immigration infrastructure and dedicated HR teams.
Focus on employers with a track record of PERM filings
The Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data shows which Pennsylvania employers have filed PERM labor certifications before. Filtering by state and employer name tells you who has sponsored Green Cards recently, not just who says they might.
Prioritize roles that require specialized degrees
Green Card sponsorship through employment typically flows to positions requiring specific academic credentials in fields like engineering, medicine, research, or IT. Roles with generic degree requirements are harder to sponsor under EB-2 or EB-3 pathways.
Browse Pennsylvania-specific sponsorship listings on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters jobs by visa type and state, so you can surface Green Card-sponsoring employers in Pennsylvania without sorting through listings from companies that don't sponsor. It saves significant research time early in the job search.
Look beyond Philadelphia to mid-size Pennsylvania markets
Employers in Pittsburgh, Allentown, and State College sponsor Green Cards regularly, often with less competition than Philadelphia. University-affiliated research employers and regional hospital systems in these cities frequently file EB-2 and EB-3 petitions.
Engage Pennsylvania universities as both employers and networks
Penn State, Temple, Drexel, and Carnegie Mellon sponsor Green Cards for faculty and research staff. Alumni networks and career offices at these institutions also connect international graduates with sponsoring employers across the state's private sector.

What is the prevailing wage for Green Card jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
