Search Investment Management Jobs in PennsylvaniaInvestment Management H-1B Sponsorship Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B visas in Pennsylvania?
Several large Pennsylvania-based asset managers and financial services firms have consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories. Vanguard in Malvern, SEI Investments in Oaks, Lincoln Financial Group in Radnor, and Glenmede Trust in Philadelphia are among the employers that have filed H-1B petitions for investment management roles. Sponsorship patterns are verifiable through Department of Labor LCA disclosure data, which is publicly searchable.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most investment management H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and its western suburbs, particularly the Main Line corridor spanning Malvern, Oaks, and Wayne, account for the majority of investment management H-1B activity in Pennsylvania. Vanguard's headquarters in Malvern alone drives significant sponsorship volume. Pittsburgh also has a smaller but active financial services presence, with firms like PNC Financial and several family offices hiring internationally credentialed professionals.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that qualify must meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific relevant field. In investment management, this typically includes quantitative analysts, portfolio analysts, risk analysts, financial engineers, and investment research associates. Degrees in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science are commonly cited as qualifying fields for these positions in Pennsylvania firms.
How do I find investment management H-1B sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter jobs by visa type, state, and industry to surface investment management roles in Pennsylvania where employers have indicated H-1B sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing at sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate focuses the results on employers actively hiring international candidates in the investment management space across Pennsylvania.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in Pennsylvania's investment management sector?
Pennsylvania does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B employment, so federal rules govern entirely. Within investment management specifically, roles at registered investment advisers may require FINRA licensing, such as the Series 65, which H-1B holders can pursue after receiving work authorization. Some smaller boutique firms in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh may lack prior sponsorship experience, which can affect petition processing timelines even when the role qualifies.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B investment management jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
