Which accounting companies sponsor TN visas in Tennessee?
Healthcare organizations are among the most active sponsors in Tennessee, including HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Large regional employers such as FedEx in Memphis and TVA also maintain accounting and finance teams that have supported TN visa hiring. National public accounting firms with Tennessee offices, including Deloitte, KPMG, and Ernst & Young, have a documented history of sponsoring TN visas for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most accounting TN sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads the state by a significant margin, driven by its concentration of healthcare corporations, financial services firms, and corporate headquarters. Memphis is the second-largest market, anchored by logistics, distribution, and regional banking employers with ongoing accounting needs. Knoxville and Chattanooga offer smaller but active markets, particularly around manufacturing, utilities, and regional professional services firms that periodically hire internationally for accounting roles.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
The TN visa covers accountants as a listed profession under the USMCA, requiring a baccalaureate or licenciatura degree in accounting or a related field. Roles that commonly qualify include staff accountant, senior accountant, financial analyst, internal auditor, tax accountant, and management accountant. Cost accounting and forensic accounting positions also generally qualify. General bookkeeping or accounts payable clerk roles that do not require a qualifying degree at the employer level typically do not meet the TN standard.
How do I find accounting TN sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international professionals seeking visa-sponsored roles, including TN sponsorship accounting jobs in Tennessee. You can filter directly by state, visa type, and industry to surface employers actively open to TN candidates. Because Tennessee's accounting market is concentrated in Nashville and Memphis, focusing your search on healthcare, logistics, and financial services employers in those cities through Migrate Mate gives you the most targeted results.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for accounting TN visa sponsorship?
Tennessee has no state licensing reciprocity agreement that fast-tracks CPA recognition for Canadian provincial designations, so if your role requires a U.S. CPA license, you will need to pursue NASBA credential evaluation separately. The good news is that many accounting TN visa roles in Tennessee, particularly in corporate and industry settings rather than public accounting firms, do not require a U.S. CPA as a condition of employment, making Tennessee's corporate-heavy market accessible to internationally trained accountants.
