SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for directing and coordinating accounting functions and systems established to provide Tyson Poultry management timely and accurate information in regards to our Shelbyville facility.
Responsibilities include: P L analysis for the value added processing floor poultry operations; yield analysis and review; a thorough understanding of the transfer pricing policies and practices; knowledge and oversight of all aspects of the product costing and pricing models; attendance and active participation at all weekly review and strategy meetings.
Other duties include:
- serve as key contact for management team requiring data analysis and recommendations pertaining to the Shelbyville facility;
- establishing constructive working relationships with cross functional team to include plant management, corporate sales management, scheduling, and the marketing and finance team;
- coordination of the accurate completion of new product requests to include approval of all product requests;
- SKU rationalization within the facility.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
Experience:
6 plus years of accounting management experience. Experience in Accounting with live operations Preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SAP and data base systems.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members; critical thinking skills.
