JOB TITLE: Workday Reporting Developer
LOCATION: Austin, TX (Preferred Onsite; Also open to remote; must travel to Austin once quarterly)
DURATION: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
PAY RANGE: $49 - $59/hr.

About the Role:
The Worldwide Grocery Stores Finance team is seeking a Workday Reporting Developer to join our FinTech Innovations Team. In this role, you will build and maintain Workday reporting solutions, drive analytics strategy, and ensure data integrity across financial systems. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact reporting that supports business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Workday reports using Report Writer, Advanced Reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across Workday reporting and analytics
- Support ad hoc analytics requests with a focus on business impact, clarity, and scalability
- Collaborate with downstream systems as needed to ensure the accurate integration of data
- Lead the development and documentation of business requirements for relevant systems and processes
- Manage implementation, hypercare periods, and user adoption initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain system documentation
- Provide incident response and resolution for system outages, bugs, and errors
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of relevant Workday Finance and Accounting reporting experience, including Prism and/or Tableau (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
- Workday certification or commitment to completing relevant Workday certification upon joining
- Deep understanding of financial reporting and planning processes and systems
- Solid working knowledge of Workday security roles and how they impact reporting and data access
- Technical proficiency with Excel and reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong storytelling, dashboard design, and executive communication skills
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights)
- Prior retail and/or grocery industry experience
Must Have Hard Skills:
- Financial Report Dev. Experience in Workday specifically; understanding of accounting and finance concepts/principles
- Workday certification is a MUST—someone who has done configuration in Workday—worktag, setup maintenance, book management
- Reporting and analytical skills are a MUST-HAVE—Excel
- Typical day would be very project based—configuration/service request, configuration management, worktag management, 20% of the work around configuration changes, doing analysis, testing, validating info, ensure things are working properly.
- Challenges in the past hiring someone—Very Specific exp, particularly with Workday—NOT looking for someone with report writing experience in Workday Financials; Workday has expanded their market share quite a bit, high demand skillset and shortage supply. Success can be seen with similar skill sets from consulting firms—Client/PWC (having consulting experience)
- Someone with consulting experience, particularly with rolling out Workday, is preferred/beneficial!!—brings valuable context to the role.
Nice to Haves:
- Exp with Adaptive Planning—which is another Workday tool
- Analytical exp—create dashboards
- Good comms, someone who can tell a story through numbers.
Experience/Education:
- Ideally 4–6 years of Financial Report Dev. Exp in Workday specifically.
